Emergency Physicians provide a high level of supervision over extended hours seven days a week. There is a specific paediatric education program. The ED has an active and highly successful training program for the Primary and Fellowship Examinations of ACEM.
Essential criteria:
- Able to be fully registered as a medical practitioner in NSW

- At least 3 years postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated skills in communication and collaboration
- Enthusiasm for teaching and education and be able to supervise junior staff.
- Have shown a commitment or expressed desire to commence training in Emergency Medicine
- Ability to provide after hours services as rostered to the ED at RNSH
- Willingness to undertake secondment rotations by negotiation which include Intensive Care, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, General Medicine and at other EDs in Northern Sydney. All secondment positions are accredited with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
